You're welcome to book wherever suits you best, but we recommend staying near the Monument Hotel on Passeig de Gràcia. It's a fantastic central location with plenty of great hotels within easy walking distance, and the neighborhood itself is one of Barcelona's best — perfect for exploring before and after the celebrations. The Monument Hotel is also the pickup point for our guest shuttle, so staying nearby makes getting to the venue completely stress-free. Any questions about the area or finding accommodation? We're so excited to celebrate with you in one of our favorite cities. Barcelona is easy to navigate, incredibly walkable, and full of amazing food, architecture, and culture. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your time there.

Getting around barcelona

WalkingBarcelona is an incredibly walkable city. Many of the city's most beautiful neighborhoods, restaurants, and attractions are best explored on foot.One thing to note: crosswalks are often set back slightly from street corners, so they may not be exactly where you expect them. MetroBarcelona's subway system is safe, affordable, and easy to use. The most challenging part is usually purchasing your ticket from the machine—the rest is very straightforward. Taxis &amp; Ride ShareWe recommend downloading Free Now, Barcelona's most popular taxi app (affiliated with Lyft).

Local Tips & Customs

LanguageYou'll hear both Spanish and Catalan spoken throughout the city. Both are official languages in Barcelona. When you’re heading back home to the USA or Canada, you will need to go through passport control after you get through security and before you reach your gate. Please buffer your time accordingly. When you’re ready to leave the shops in the terminal, walk towards the Santa Maria sandwich shop and make a hard right towards the McDonalds. Take a right up the escalator towards gates D and E. Follow the signs according to your citizenship.
